Being LDS or Mormon I have had the opportunity to mingle with other faiths purely for understanding as any real decision would require prayer and direction from God. I am fond of the promptings of the Holy Ghost and would be amiss without the insight I gain from the communication. I have heard stories from others as well as had my own experience of not feeling the Holy Ghost's insight from time to time and it makes me feel some how incomplete.
This is also how missionary work works. Missionaries get people praying and introducing them to the power and comfort of the Holy Ghost. If they really identify with the spirit they can feel the difference in and out of His presents as they learn the principles of the gospel. (Which, I discovered, is learning the rules and regulations mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionality that sustain the obedience needed to develop the integrity required to manage and control the most powerful gift our Heavenly Father can bestow... the Priesthood in its full majesty.)
The power to order thought; binding it until even all matter "seems" tangible. "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." "And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come." "Therefore, according to justice, the plan of redemption could not be brought about, only on conditions of repentance of men in this probationary state, yea, this preparatory state; for except it were for these conditions, mercy could not take effect except it should destroy the work of justice. Now the work of justice could not be destroyed; if so, God would cease to be God."
So? why is it that God would entrust man to learn His ways and receive such a gift. "For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man."
Now this is a major point of difference and interest of doctrine between the Mormons and everyone else. We believe Christ saved us also with His Atonement. He gave us immortality in our formerly mortal bodies after the day of resurrection. So, we are saved by the Grace of God. However, if we stop there we miss the part about eternal life or spiritual families and children. Eternal life is earned by learning to manage the power that oversees it.
Religion is the Key to Understanding
Before an understanding of anything is possible a method of testing ideas is required to see if a principle is valid. A scale has to be agreed upon personally by which concepts are weighed or measured. Something as benign as a touch we weigh on a scale of pain or pleasure individually.
We often choose what happens in our lives from a simple preconceived pain or pleasure scale. We choose what we believe and who we believe. The first man of consciousness may have asked, lacking words and someone wiser to answer, these pressing questions "Who an I?" "Why am I?" "Where am I?" "What am I?" "What is that gurgling noise?" Then he, lacking the ability to interpret, would not have associated his stomach noise and pain with hunting, trapping, killing, cleaning, and preparing food thus facilitating his own demise. OK... so man was preprogrammed to eat... by who and why?
Here is a perplexing problem as well. In the primordial soup, what elements exercised agency and "chose" to change into a protein instead of remaining status-quot and why? Lets go back a little more to the big bang. Here is another really perplexing question as well. OK... why did the power behind the cosmos-want-to-be choose to bang? In Newton's laws of motion, the first law says "Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it". Taking liberties, I am applying this to bodies at rest, per-say, as well. So, in the vacuum of nothing why did energy create its self and then go bang?
Even now many scientists use a position of "Intelligent Design" and work backward to find solutions. Yet, they deny that such a phenomena exists as a cause.
So, it boils down to this question; Once born into this world by what source of information do we educate ourselves? Do we trust others in our same predicament or do we look for a higher authority? Of course, realizing we are all in the same boat from the quasi smartest academic to the most innocent child.
My last hard question, do we trust those touted by the education system to be educated when they demonstrate they know nothing of economics, communication, compromise, faith, the rule of law, capitalism, leadership, patriotism, religion, intelligent design, science, mathematics, ecosystems, natural science, chemistry, the environment, physiology, self preservation or ingenuity except they be skewed politically? 9 But if it be not right you shall have no such feelings, but you shall have a stupor of thought that shall cause you to forget the thing which is wrong; therefore, you cannot write that which is sacred save it be given you from me.
Second Book of Nephi 9:28-29
28 O that cunning plan of the evil one! O the vainness, and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish.
29 But to be learned is good if they hearken unto the counsels of God.
The Creation with my insights added
For clarification I do not represent any church, person, or organization other then myself. Obviously, I chose to look beyond the reasoning of education to personal observations, reflection, and prayer for answers as I have to answer for my own understanding and educational due diligence. No one else is directly responsible for my thoughts, actions, or interpretations.
I accept for now that man is eternal in nature and in being so, he will accept, through understanding, deeds, beliefs, and desire, one of 4 degrees of glory Celestial, Terrestrial, Telestial, or being left to oneself with no power in darkness to perpetuate his existence upon death. In the Celestial glory there are an additional three divisions the top of which is receiving a plot in the void but with the added features of the power to structure intelligence. In addition, our companions, single in purpose, will join us on the trip.

Males are designed to be worshiped. They poses a mind that uses time slicing technology. They are designed physically and chemically to deal with stress and make changes to their environment. Males thrive in a challenge. Males very in their technical ability however, they all posses an ego born of a weakness in their emotional abilities. Males are more adapted to working on the future. Moses 4, 23-25
Females are designed to be cherished. They poses a mind that uses multitasking technology. They are designed physically and chemically to remove stress and work their environment. Females thrive in security. Females have well developed emotional abilities affording them the opposite of ego... compassion. Females are more adapt to working in the present. Moses 4, 22
Each sex is complimentary in nature even down to their physical features. Each was entrusted with a base function in this world. The co-creation of life is this base function. To this purpose is why the bible and many religions hold "Marriage" in such esteem as it perpetuates the purposes of God.
God created or organized us spiritually, for the sake of charity and continuation, with the great power of the Priesthood. In order to do this, God was required to have male and female attributes. The Hebrew term "Elohim" denoted a single entity of plural parts both male and multiple female. "El" means "Strong One". "Oh" means "Oth" a plural female ending used in the middle of a word. "Im" is the plural male ending used to tie the single term "El" with the plural term "Oh" into its joined meaning. In short it could be speculated that the term "Elohim" expresses the final evolution of marriage and carries the ability to organize and have spiritual offspring for ever after. Note that in many languages, pertaining to pronouns, if there is one male in a room full of females the pronouns pertaining to the group possesses the male gender... example French.
God, "Elohim" Our Father and Mothers, came into the void that He received of His Father. He brought His Father's Power embedded in His being as to radiate all light and order all intelligence. The Power of the Priesthood is to order and bind intelligences. In this creation, what our Father bound in heaven, like our spiritual bodies and all other spiritual things, would have stagnated as a reliance on individual agency and voluntary compliance to the laws, which govern the Power, is required to perpetuate more generations of creations.
The oldest of Elohim's spiritual offspring in this creation was Jehovah. The next oldest was Lucifer. In a grand council before all things temporal of this creation, Elohim presented a plan that allowed us to learn the laws of the Power or Priesthood under voluntary terms to see if we really wanted to be as He is. Jehovah spoke. He agreed to Fathers plan and offered Himself up as the catalyst to transfer the Power of God to the new creation presented in Fathers plan. Lucifer, demonstrating the first sibling rivalry, presented his own plan to force everyone to comply with the law and accept the responsibility of the Power without a catalyst. This plan created a new order of the power which was full of flaws and weaker in its replication as it could only exist as long as force was applied. Soon, even in Godly ways, the one overseeing everyone's sins would loose control and everything in the order, being centralized, would be destroyed as the violated terms of the contract released the structure of the intelligence to ciaos.
Decentralization of control through the use of beings that fervently want to work in the system of Laws pertaining to the Power can reach farther, more levels of creations, without the risk of violating the over all Law pertaining to the Power. The greatest gift of charity is manifest through the fulfilling, maintaining, and perpetuating of life true to the the Law of the Power.
Jehovah was selected, through His willingness, to act as the conduit and contract to bind on earth that which is bound in heaven. Under the direction of Jehovah the big bang started this creation after the order of Elohim. Moses 2:2-5 the first day, (Additional information from my father-in-law) Reference: John 1:1 The term "Word" refers to a "plan" as the Greek language term "loca" is interpreted to mean a complete idea and a "word" is a complete idea but so is a "sentence", a "paragraph", and... a "plan". In which case, the "Plan" was in Jehovah after the Heavenly Council concluded.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and I caused darkness to come up upon the face of the deep; and my Spirit moved upon the face of the water; for I am God.My understanding; from the realm of where Father or Elohim was, referred to as "the deep", Jehovah had to set aside an area, called darkness, for this creation and the building of stars... worlds... and other space entities. I have come to believe the term "Earth" refers to a habitat for physical man in this creation. Water is an analogy for the base building blocks (intelligence, atoms, or quarks) needed for the creation. In simple terms "BANG!!!" a sea of elements are created in space as we know it.
3 And I, God, said: Let there be light; and there was light.This was Jehovah's initial exercise of His entrusted Power. He took control of the newly formed elements of this creation and charged them or instilled them with energy or life.
4 And I, God, saw the light; and that light was good. And I, God, divided the light from the darkness.Both what we would call positive and negative charges were ordered in the energy field or sea. Opposing forces... the environment needed to practice agency.
5 And I, God, called the light Day; and the darkness, I called Night; and this I did by the word of my power, and it was done as I spake; and the evening and the morning were the first day.The charges were set in revolution cast into the void of space. Note the phrase "and this I did by the Word of my power" is a direct reference to Jehovah as the Word or Plan.
6 And again, I, God, said: Let there be a firmament in the midst of the water, and it was so, even as I spake; and I said: Let it divide the waters from the waters; and it was done;The mass of charged particles were condensed into googlies of pockets organizing empty space as we know it. This newly created space was separated from the pools of matter... later to become stars, planets, moons, and all other bodies we find in space.
7 And I, God, made the firmament and divided the waters, yea, the great waters under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament, and it was so even as I spake.This is a reference to sorting the matter produced by the event as some was denser... other not so. In each case, all the googlies of pockets were sorted and classified as individual types of bodies. The "firmament" is empty space. Water, here again, refers to seas of atoms.
8 And I, God, called the firmament Heaven; and the evening and the morning were the second day.This is were the term firmament draws a direct correlative definition to space or the heavens.
9 And I, God, said: Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and it was so; and I, God, said: Let there be dry land; and it was so.Now, each pool of matter was condensed into its respective form and if it was habitable by man it was called Earth. Our world was one of these pools, an island of Earth, it was created for us from a loving Father.
The scripture at this point reads and is interpreted more easily as stars are lit and moons are set in motion. Plants and animals are placed on earth... and eventually man and woman. Moses 2; 3; 4
Then
This is what I think happened. After Adam and Eve fell and became mortal God taught them about this new world. They learned in so much as they demonstrated they understood physics on the atomic level as represented by some of the artifacts found globally. I have even heard rumors that 7 types of pyramids were found. The first an electrostatic bio-dome, the second a dehydrator, third a decay inhibitor (refrigerator... but not cold), the fourth a medical facility, fifth a power station, sixth a transmuter, and the seventh was a star-gate for lack of a better term. Other worlds started being populated from this one. Each of the children from each of our Heavenly Mothers were sent to a different world in this creation or universe. They had so much technology that they thought themselves gods. God humbled them with a global flood. Of course in order to rent the mantel of the earth the earths electro-magnetic and electro-static fields where changed.
This action removed the earth from the realm of all the other creations. Lucifer as Satan was sent to this world with his followers. Even so, the field or our world was prepared to receive the Savior... even Jehovah made flesh as Jesus the Christ... to fulfill the Father's plan here on this world were Adam fell.
Soon the earth will need to be put back in phase with the other creations. This action will most likely change the face of the earth as it did the first time.
Going on
I found in the Doctrine and Covenants Section 133; 22-27 that the Earth may not be as solid as we have been taught. This supports my understanding of the creation of the world and universe as it purports to demonstrate the more dynamic and responsive nature to the world as old technologies are revealed as new ones.
